Balaklava Club

In 2008 when RHQ stated they would no longer be able to run the Balaklava Club it was decided that the Stirling Branch would take on the club and try to keep it going.  Despite a lot of effort and hard work by the committee it still struggles to keep the club open.

At the January 2008 meeting it was proposed a £5 per month Direct Debit from former members and serving members of the regiment. However due to the prohibitive cost of setting this up it would cost £25 for each Direct Debit and it was decided that this course of action should not go and donations were asked for instead.  The response was magnificent, however you can’t keep asking for donations.

What is the way forward...

A £5 standing order from all personnel who are willing to support The Balaklava Club.  £5 per month is not a lot of money even to some on a limited income.

DO NOT LET THE CLUB DIE

We have lost enough servicemen and women and they need a place of their own. We as Argyll’s have that place and a lot do not.

100 people joining this proposed course of action would garner £6000 per year and surely we can do this and more... JOIN THE FIGHT

DO NOT JUST FADE AWAY... THE CLUB IS A LIVING MEMORIAL TO ALL WHO SERVE PAST AND PRESENT.

THE FIERY CROSS HAS BEEN SENT OUT... RALLY TO THE CAUSE.
